Digital photography has now surpassed the quality of film photography. Digital pictures have better detail. They are clearer. Digital pictures can record a wider range of light and dark so whites and blacks in the same picture, for instance, can be printed in the same picture without loosing detail and quality in either color. Colors are recorded more accurately. It is less expensive to print your pictures when they are mastered in digital form. For example, it will cost approximately $6.00 to print an 8 x 10 inch picture. It will cost approximately $2.55 to print an 8" x 10" when mastered in digital. Or, you can save even more money by printing the pictures yourself on your own color printer. The cost drops to fifty cents to print an 8 x 10 inch picture. Your friends can see all your pictures on the Internet and order pictures for themselves without bothering you. If you ever lost your film negatives, you have lost your only master, but with digital, you can make as many master copies of your original cd's as you like. You can give a copy of all your pictures to relatives for a few pennies, instead of hundreds of dollars.
